NullVault on iOS supports an encrypted, read-only CloudKit vault replica using a separate 24-word sharing phrase. Connected vault sharing is not supported on Android.
The feature
Give one trusted iCloud participant read-only access without sending the owner's unlock pattern or recovery phrase.
The owner creates a random sharing phrase that wraps access to an encrypted shared replica. It is intentionally separate from the pattern used to open the owner's vault and from the phrase used for backup recovery.
The first compatible iCloud account to claim that phrase becomes the participant. The recipient must enter the phrase again after lock or restart because NullVault does not retain it as a permanent background unlock credential.
The supported recipient role is read-only. Owner additions, edits, and deletions can synchronize to the recipient; the owner can set expiration, revoke access, and decide whether the normal recipient interface offers export.
These controls govern the supported NullVault flow, not human memory or every modified device. Revocation cannot erase previous exports, photographs, screenshots, or copies retained outside the shared replica, and current online authorization checks require network and iCloud availability.
