Decide what needs to work offline
Tickets, identity copies and emergency contacts may be useful when connectivity is limited. An entire historical photo library may serve a different purpose. Choose the material the trip actually requires, and verify how you will access it when the phone is offline or unavailable.
Do not keep the only recovery credential on the same device as the archive. Also consider whether a trusted person or separate device needs access to particular travel information without opening your full private collection.
Match the app to the preparation
