Each valid 5×5 pattern addresses one independent encrypted vault. NullVault opens that vault directly on iOS and Android without first revealing a master list of vault names, thumbnails, or a total vault count.

One gesture, one private destination

Most private-gallery apps unlock one library and then show folders. NullVault starts with the destination: draw the pattern assigned to a vault, and the app attempts to open only that vault.

A second pattern is not another password for the same library. It addresses a separate encrypted space with its own contents. Switching means locking NullVault and drawing the pattern for the space you want.

No master vault browser

The normal lock flow does not display vault names, thumbnails, or a complete vault count. After opening, settings, search, and organization remain scoped to the active vault.

Hidden describes the normal interface and pattern-addressed storage model. It reduces casual disclosure, but it does not promise that every trace of app use disappears from device history, storage analysis, backups, or a compromised phone.

Strong patterns still matter

The 5×5 grid supports many possible paths, while strength checks discourage simple lines and familiar shapes. Patterns are processed locally and are not NullVault account passwords.

Someone who observes a pattern or controls an already-unlocked device may still reach that vault. Pattern privacy complements device security and careful use.
