When Proton Drive is the better choice
Proton Drive is the better choice when browser access, cloud-file sharing or automatic photo backup is central to the job. A local mobile vault should not be presented as a replacement for those features without a matching workflow.
When NullVault fits
NullVault fits a different requirement: separate local spaces for photos, files and notes, with no NullVault account for ordinary use. You may need both a private local archive and a separate approved cloud-sharing process. Read NullVault’s features and security limitations for the released scope.
Before you move an archive
Before moving files, decide whether you are replacing cloud access or only changing local storage. Read Proton’s sharing documentation and test the NullVault backup path with a sample. A recipient who already downloaded a file retains a copy outside either interface.
