When OneDrive Personal Vault is the better choice
OneDrive Personal Vault may be the better fit when you already use a personal OneDrive account and need protected access to documents from the web and Windows as well as a phone. Its sharing restriction can be useful for preventing accidental sharing from that area.
When NullVault fits
NullVault is a candidate when independent local spaces and a NullVault-account-free workflow are more important than OneDrive integration. Do not confuse a separate app credential with an assessment of an entire cloud provider’s security. Read NullVault’s features and security limitations for the released scope.
Before you move an archive
Before migrating, verify which files are available locally and what account access will be needed later. Keep your OneDrive copy until a sample has been imported and restored through the intended NullVault process. Check the current Microsoft plan limits in the official documentation.
