Feature comparison
| Question | NullVault | App-Vault |
|---|---|---|
| Platform decision | Documented iOS and Android apps | The cited product page describes iPhone |
| Interface emphasis | A pattern addresses a separate vault without a master vault list | Separate photo container with advertised calculator launcher |
| Recovery check | Identify the required phrase and surviving backup for the platform | Confirm what data survives device loss; a phrase alone is not a backup |
The documented difference
App-Vault describes an encrypted iPhone container and advertises a calculator launcher, a decoy vault and an intruder log. Its documentation contains strong statements about original-file removal; those statements should not replace your own copy inventory. See App-Vault’s official documentation.
When App-Vault is the better choice
App-Vault may be the better fit if a calculator launcher or its advertised intruder-log workflow is specifically what you want. Verify the current installed behavior and store offer before relying on either.
When NullVault fits
NullVault is worth considering when you need its documented Android support or a clearly scoped backup and recovery path. Its limitations explicitly avoid promising physical erasure of flash storage or recall of exported copies. Read NullVault’s features and security limitations for the released scope.
Before you move an archive
Inspect originals, Recently Deleted, cloud libraries and any exported copies during a sample migration. Do not infer device-loss recovery from the presence of a recovery phrase without verifying the corresponding surviving data.
How this comparison was prepared
This is a comparison of published product documentation as of 7 September 2026, not a hands-on security test or independent audit. Store plans and platform support can change. NullVault publishes this page; there are no affiliate rankings or invented star scores.
